The Paxterra focus now is on getting the Kickstarter project online. Please check out Kickstarter.com. This is a wonderful way to finance an endeavor. We have already been green-lighted by Kickstarter so the ball is in our court. A video about the project is the next essential element to provide. I am hoping to raise about $15,000 to fund the completion of the production prototype. This will also provide the first marketing feedback on the overall concept.
I am still convinced that Open Source is the way to go and look forward to releasing the design data when we complete the Engineering Validation Testing (EVT). The tests should be a lot of fun.
Today I visited an indoor Go-Kart racetrack where all the karts are electrically powered. They were really flying around the course. These things can do 100MPH on a larger track. They are using Yellow Top Orbitals for batteries @ 72V. Definitely old school but it works. Solar panels on the roof would have made it a perfect guilty pleasure.
